Kalidroid packages the environment and the plumbing so your existing workflow runs on Android. What the radio can do depends on your phone and adapter — here's the straight story.

Wireless assessment

Monitor mode & injection.

With a supported adapter, Kalidroid runs the wireless workflow you already know — airmon-ng, airodump-ng,aireplay-ng, handshake and PMKID capture — from inside the Kali guest. The project's firmware work (brcmfmac / nexmon) is what makes monitor mode and raw frame injection possible on mobile chipsets.

Radio support is hardware-specific. Some internal phone chipsets work; many don't. An external USB adapter with a known-good chipset is the reliable path, which is why ourhardware bundles exist.

Wardriving & mapping

Map the airspace as you move.

Pair a USB GPS receiver with gpsd and Kismet to log and map wireless networks in the field. USB passthrough hands the adapter and GPS straight to the guest, so captures carry real coordinates.

The environment

Kali rolling, all of it.

A persistent Kali Linux rolling install: APT and the full toolset, an XFCE desktop over X11 when a shell isn't enough, rootless Docker and Podman for isolated workloads, and live netstack diagnostics for what the network is actually doing — all without rooting Android.

The honest boundaries

Your hardware decides a lot.

Kalidroid bundles QEMU/pKVM virtualization, but hardware acceleration, Wi-Fi monitor mode, USB devices and container features all depend on your phone, its Android version, firmware and permissions. We don't make a blanket "works on everything" claim — we tell you what to check and sell kit that we've verified.
